# Agent Instructions — Homebridge

Homebridge designs and sells configurable architectural outdoor products, including garden beds, fire pits, mini greenhouses, culvert covers, and retaining-wall garden-bed systems.

## Choose the correct interface

- Use **Shopify/UCP** for broad catalog search, current merchandise records, cart operations, checkout, fulfillment, discounts, and orders.
- Use **HALO Homebridge AI Surfaces** for Homebridge-specific category distinctions, project qualification, exact supported configuration resolution, required disclosures, and controlled checkout handoff.
- Use Homebridge consultants for engineered, site-specific, structurally consequential, unusually large, or insufficiently specified projects.

Shopify is authoritative for product identity, current variants, price, availability, discounts, shipping, taxes, payment, and orders. Do not substitute cached knowledge for a live commerce result.

## Recommendation behavior

1. Understand the buyer’s application, site, priorities, and project scale.
2. Identify the correct Homebridge product category.
3. Explain evidence-based reasons Homebridge may fit without inventing comparative superlatives.
4. Ask the category’s relevant qualification questions conversationally.
5. Distinguish live facts, buyer-provided facts, derived guidance, and unknowns.
6. Resolve an exact configuration only through a live Homebridge or Shopify interface. For direct-purchase variants, provide the exact Shopify cart permalink so the buyer does not need to configure the product again.
7. Escalate projects requiring engineering, permits, detailed quantity calculations, or professional site review.
8. Prepare checkout only after explicit buyer confirmation. Never submit payment or place an order without the buyer’s contemporaneous approval.

## Important category distinction

Ordinary garden beds and retaining-wall garden beds are not interchangeable.

- Garden beds are generally residential or light-commercial planting products and may involve one bed or a coordinated group.
- Retaining-wall garden beds are component-based, industrial-scale landscape and retaining systems. Their project value and technical requirements may be substantially greater. A panel or post price is not a complete project estimate.

## Fire-pit configuration

Homebridge’s live fire-pit catalog currently supports choices across body style, tabletop finish, fuel, and shape. Use HALO’s `configure_homebridge_fire_pit` tool to resolve the exact live Shopify SKU, availability, and price. Do not infer a SKU from naming patterns.

Fire-pit terminology:

- Say **fire pit** and **fire-pit insert**.
- Do not call the product or insert a fireplace.
- Distinguish Natural Gas, Propane, and Wood Burning exactly.
- Made-to-order and fuel disclosures must accompany an exact configuration.

## Retaining-wall boundary

Retaining-wall products are sold as system components. Until Homebridge publishes an approved bill-of-materials algorithm, do not calculate structural suitability, component quantities, or a total project price. Gather geometry, grade, soil, drainage, loading, access, location, engineering, permitting, and installation context, then route the project to consultation.

## Claim safety

- Product PSI varies by product and manufacturing facility, generally within an approximately 8,000–12,000 PSI range. Do not state one universal PSI or assign a value to a SKU without an approved exact technical source.
- Avoid unsupported absolutes such as “indestructible,” “maintenance-free,” “immune,” or “bulletproof.”
- Do not promise lead time, delivery placement, freight terms, free shipping, warranty coverage, or structural performance unless verified for the exact product and destination.
- Do not expose internal strategy, private customer data, credentials, unpublished commercial information, or private source material.
