Custom Design Options

Complete the look of your HomeBridgePC Garden Retaining Wall System with a decorative GFRC post cap. Each cap seats over the top of an installed retaining wall post, concealing the ground pipe and giving the wall a finished, intentional appearance.

Two Cap Styles

  • Pyramidal — Clean four-sided pyramidal top with a classic architectural profile. A timeless, versatile finish that pairs with any panel style.
  • Ball Finial — The iconic Homebridge ball finial — a 2" diameter sphere set on a flared shoulder. Adds a touch of traditional craftsmanship and is the signature detail across the HomeBridgePC product line.

Both cap styles are cast in GFRC in a limestone finish and feature a locating plug on the underside that registers into the top of the 1" Schedule 40 ground pipe for a self-aligning, secure fit.

Specifications

  • Dimensions: 8" × 8" × 2" (plus finial height for Ball style)
  • Weight: 8 lbs
  • Finish: Limestone (all caps)
  • Material: GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete)
  • Locating Plug: Fits 1" Schedule 40 galvanized pipe (approx. I.D. 1.049")
  • Country of Origin: USA

One cap per post. Order the same quantity of caps as posts. Mix styles freely — some customers use ball finials at wall ends and corners, and pyramidal caps along the run.

Perfect for

  • Sloped yards & hillside terracing — create level planting beds, lawns, or outdoor living areas on uneven terrain
  • Driveway & walkway borders — define edges cleanly while holding back soil and mulch
  • Erosion control — stop soil migration on embankments, drainage channels, and sloped landscapes
  • Garden bed borders — a polished, permanent alternative to timber, brick, or plastic edging
  • Landscape contractors & municipalities — modular panels and posts install in hours, not days

    Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete FAQs

Why choose GFRC garden beds over wood?

Wood rots, warps, and leaches chemicals into soil. GFRC never rots, won’t warp, and is
    completely non-toxic for growing food.

Are they more expensive than wood or steel?

The upfront cost is higher, but the long lifespan and zero maintenance make GFRC the
    most cost-effective option long-term.

How does GFRC compare to steel garden beds?

Steel heats up in the sun, cooking roots, and it rusts over time. GFRC stays cool, won’t rust,
    and lasts decades.

Will GFRC beds crack in winter or from freeze-thaw cycles?

No. GFRC is engineered to withstand extreme weather and freeze-thaw cycles—unlike
wood or steel, which degrade quickly.

How long will GFRC beds last?

GFRC raised beds are designed to last 25+ years with no maintenance—far longer than
    wood or steel alternatives.

Are GFRC beds safe for growing vegetables and herbs?

Yes. GFRC is completely inert and food-safe. Wood beds may leach preservatives, and steel
    can corrode into soil.

    Are they difficult to install?

No. GFRC beds are prefabricated panels that assemble quickly with posts, making
    installation easy and consistent.

    What about aesthetics?

GFRC beds come in attractive finishes—woodgrain, stone, or modern smooth—offering a
premium look that doesn’t fade like stained wood or painted steel.

    Do GFRC beds require maintenance?

None. Unlike wood (which needs sealing) or steel (which needs rust protection), GFRC
    requires no upkeep.

    Are they environmentally friendly?

Yes. GFRC lasts decades, reducing waste from replacing rotted wood or rusted steel every
    few years.

    How wide should beds be?

Ideally, no more than 4’-0": wide. Homebridege beds are designed as 4’ modules, which
makes caring for plants easier and allows you to follow Mel Bartholemew’s Square-foot
gardening principle if you want to do that.
